The Pink Print: The Girlies' Guide to Success

I would like to make it clear that we are to seek the heart of God before anything else.

that’s number one priority: to get to know him personally, not just seek His hand and what we can get from Him.

The Pink Print is for the girlies who are actively seeking the Lord and as a result has been entrusted with purpose & assignment.

& if He has placed desires directly attached to your purposed assignment(s) on your heart, He has equipped you with what you need to execute effectively and be successful in it!

that’s enough to rejoice right there!

there are over eight thousand promises for you and i in the Bible!

so please trust and believe, your desire to be successful does not offend the Lord.

as long as your ambitions are rooted in what He wants you to do, you can be assured that success will follow.

let’s get into it.

1. Stay in your Word

The Word of God is the cheat code to life. it’s literally a how-to guide for a successful satisfying life.

it also helps to keep us sharp and ready to conquer the day with the regular renewing of our minds.

read it everyday. meditate on it all day.

Joshua 1:8 NLT

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

AMP This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be [a]successful.

2nd Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character, 17 so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.

2. Keep it Cute

first of all, you gotta be true to the brand, darling. we are cuties (the girlies belonging to The Khi Series).

keeping it ugly is allowing others to get you out of character, responding in anger, seeking revenge, gossiping, staying in drama… the ugly stuff.

examples of keeping it cute are staying rooted in your peace, ignoring the hate to focus on the love instead, not giving others the power to take us out of character, staying on brand, just to name a few.

acting outside of that leads to a whole lot of other mess that we don’t have time for.

after all, we have success to get to, right? time is of the essence.

Proverbs 29:22 NLT

An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.

3. Be Joyful

i know the dudes at the gas station always tell you to smile & that is oh so annoying.

and... i’m going to go ahead and be annoying too: girl SMILE!!

isn’t this the day that the Lord has made? well, be glad and rejoice in it!

operate in your joy always. even when you’re going through unfavorable uncomfortable times.

because number one: the joy of the Lord is your strength! (*cues CoCo’s jam from The Pink Print playlist*)

and number two: don’t you know God???

that’s enough to know that you’re destined for greatness and be joyous in that just because of who He is.

4. Be Obedient

its so many references in the Word that relates being obedient to the favor of God like

1 Kings 2:3

Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.

Psalms 37:4

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Proverbs 3:1-4

My child,[a] never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart.

2 If you do this, you will live many years,

and your life will be satisfying.

3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!

Tie them around your neck as a reminder.

Write them deep within your heart.

4 Then you will find favor with both God and people and you will earn a good reputation.

now, like we’ve already discussed from the jump, this should not be the motivating reason why we should be obedient; but just know that the Lord honors obedience and His blessings are direct consequences.

5. Be a Consistent Tither

this is when The Pink Print gets real. now i’m getting in your business and all up in your pocketbook.

to be completely honest, tithing is an option in the kingdom of God. You can be saved, confess that Jesus is Lord, died and rose again, not tithe a day in your life & still make it to heaven.

BUT if you’re anything like me, I want to see the full glory of the Lord and experience all that He has for me in THIS life, not only in the sweet by & by.

if you’re cool with living the basic Christian life, don’t even worry about this part. go ahead and log off, lovebug.

but consistent tithing is expected of us as queenly citizens of the Kingdom.

I encourage you to work the Word. the proof is in the pudding.

Get into Malachi Chapter Three to see what the Lord has to say about tithing and the success that will follow as a result.

6. Be an Inside Baddie

be a baddie on the inside. be an inside baddie.

I had to say it two different ways so the dolled up girlies in the back can get into it.

The wig is laid, the lashes are on, the makeup is poppin, the nails are done but your spirit WREAKS!

eww! a beautiful face accompanied with an ugly spirit/character/demeanor is not it.

we must prioritize working on our inner beauty much more than being consumed with what we look like on the outside because eventually the beauty we have now will fade. ir more abruptly, the beauty we have now may be altered without warning (God forbid).

however, what’s left after the exterior changes should still be beauty.

Proverbs 11:22 NLT

A beautiful woman who lacks discretion

is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.

AMP As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout,

So is a beautiful woman who is without discretion [her lack of character mocks her beauty].

7. Choose Your Friends Wisely

you most definitely want people around you that can help you get to where you need to be spiritually, emotionally and in this physical world we live in.

we should strive to be accompanied in life with great friends, not just good friends.

great friends build you up, they help carry the load when it gets too heavy for us to bare by ourselves, they bring laughter and joy when we need it most, & literally can be used by God for your benefit.

a great friend can even save your whole life (hello David & Jonathan).

a person who is not meant to be in close proximity to you can literally take you off course.

please do not underestimate the power of influence a friend or a person close to you may negatively or positively have on you. even if you are the “strong friend”.

Proverbs 12:26 AMP

The righteous man is a guide to his neighbor,

But the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Proverbs 13:20 AMP

He who walks [as a companion] with wise men will be wise,

But the companions of [conceited, dull-witted] fools [are fools themselves and] will experience harm.

8. Choose Your Boo Thang Wisely

Chile dont get me started on these MEN! please don’t.

too late, i’m already started.

choosing your boo thang wisely is probably more important than choosing your friends wisely because you will more than likely spend more time with him.

If i were you, i would give this completely over to God.

literally stop looking for the perfect man, just allow him to find you.

trust me, I know it gets a bit tough as a single woman because these men are FINE.

the Lord took his sweet time, okay?

its easy to be distracted by all the muscles, the full waves on swim under the fitted cap, his nice smooth skin, his cologne that tickles your nose…

whew!

I say all of that to say: you must be careful!!!!

talk about a friend taking you off course?

a man can literally change the whole trajectory of your life. bring all kind of destruction if you’re not using your discretion.

he can cause an unnecessary detour and/or delay in your life & we don't have time to waste.

oh but the man that God has for you! … babyyy!

that man can usher you into the very destiny God has for you with a little bit more ease than if you were doing it solo because he would be a helpmate and supporter.

& on top of that, he may be a wealthy helpmate coming to financially support that dream.

hey Boaz! hey Solomon!

2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

9. Roll your Sleeves Up & Do the Work

duuh, that should be a given. we can’t ask for the Lord’s blessing without giving Him something to bless.

we gotta plant a seed and give Him something to do something with!

faith without works is dead.

one thing I’ve noticed (and love) about the Lord is that if we take two steps towards our purposed goals, he takes 15.

He loves to see our faith in motion.

& not to mention, success takes hard work even after we "make it".

so we might as well get started now.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

For even while we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is [a]not to eat, either.

10. Be a Good Steward of What You Have; Be Content

its always going to be another level to unlock and another goal to cross off the list, no matter how successful we become.

it is our responsibility to work with what we already have in our hands; to be good stewards!

watch Pastor Toure’ Roberts' message entitled Play Your Part!

he teaches Matthews 25:14-30 so well.

why would God send us a great blessing if we're not able to effectively manage what we already have? that blessing may very well be more of a havoc if we're not suitable to receive it, let alone sustain it.

working with what we have right now is great practice for how we will work what’s coming in the next season.
